Waitrr is a leading QR ordering and payment platform founded in 2015. Our mission is to address labor shortages and increase customer satisfaction through innovative technology tailored for cafés and restaurants. Since our inception, we have expanded our services to the USA, France, Australia, and Singapore serving more than 500 outlets.
Our Story
Waitrr was born from a simple idea: to make dining experiences better for everyone. Our founder, Tim Wekezer, grew up in a family of restaurant owners and has spent over 20 years working in the food and beverage industry. He's done it all – from waiting tables and cooking in the kitchen to managing restaurants across various countries.
The idea for Waitrr came from a particularly frustrating experience Tim had at a renown restaurant in Singapore. What should have been a pleasant dinner with his family turned into an ordeal. They had to wait an unusually long time just to get a table. Once seated, no staff came over to bring them menus, forcing Tim to stand up and fetch menus himself. When they finally managed to place their order, they received the wrong dishes. And to top it all off, when they were ready to leave, they had to wait an excruciatingly long time just to pay the bill.

Tim Wekezer
Co-founder & CEO
Tim attended Hotelschool The Hague in Netherlands and pursued an MBA at INSEAD, on the Singapore campus. He started learning the F&B business from a young age of 8 years at his parents' restaurant and hotel business.
Tim Davies
Co-founder & COO
Tim pursued an MBA at Babson college and was a previous brand manager at Unilever, in Australia. He also worked for ANZ, as an analyst, in digital marketing and operational risk.
Danial Haddad
Key Account Manager & POS Integrations Specialist
Danial is in charge of servicing a portfolio of strategic key accounts, supporting and training clients. He obtained a BSc (bachelor of science) from the Singapore Institute of Technology in 2015.
Chau Dinh
CTO
With more than 13 years experience in leadership, consulting and agile development roles, Chau co-built a customer app for Vietnam’s largest bank.Chau is one of the founding members of Waitrr and has been with the company since 2015.
Andre Reifenrath, PhD
CFO & CIO
Andre co-founded 12 companies, which were acquired or merged. His previous role was as an E-commerce architect to create a platform for one of Germany's largest food wholesalers.
